Doxa Family, It's hard to believe we just finished our first full sermon series together. The last three months went fast and I have to say I thank our Father regularly for you all! It really is a joy to get to serve you with my gift and to lead us, together with our elders and deacons, toward the future. I am praying that this Sunday will be a wonderful celebration of Go...Keep Reading

A few have asked about the timeline around us reopening Sunday gatherings at the John Danz building in downtown Bellevue. There are several factors that go into the reopening of "normal" Sunday gatherings. But first, I want to mention how we make decisions like this....
...As the sun of summer begins to fade and fall creeps ever closer we may be tempted to think that the time for mission is over. The clouds and rain that accompany fall certainly reduce the amount of spontaneous neighborhood block parties but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t a great time to be on mission....
A Missional Community (“MC”) is a group or family of servant missionaries living life on life, life in community, and life on mission in order to make disciples who make disciples. It’s more than a Bible study, it’s different than a community group, it’s actually how we see ourselves as the church of Jesus Christ....
Doxa Family, I trust our Father provided new awareness of your identity as his image bearer during this past week. For myself, I was able to revel afresh in God's design for men and women as Jayne and I spent some time celebrating our 22nd anniversary. We were able to reflect on what God has been teaching us over the past year, especially these last several months, and it...Keep Reading

We are all made to tell the truth about what God is like and to tell the wonderful story of redemption through Jesus in the way we live and interact together....Keep Reading
Dear Doxa Family, I pray each of you experienced moments of healing, restoration, and reconciliation this week as you contemplated how you have been sinned against or how you've sinned against others and then brought it to Jesus. As a follower of Jesus on earth, we will not escape pain, failure, or sorrow, but Jesus is more than enough to sustain us through whatever comes...Keep Reading
How would our week look differently if we were committed to being in a Missional Community that included living life-on-life, life-in-community, and life-on-mission? One MC's story....Keep Reading
It seemed clear that the Spirit was working on our hearts and leading us to love well, speak truthfully to one another, forgive those who have sinned against us, and fight for restoration and reconciliation. I hope you were convicted and comforted by the good news of Jesus’ work reconciling us to God, so that we can be ministers of reconciliation to one another....Keep Reading
In my post yesterday, I neglected to include questions for discussion in your family or missional communities. I think the pastor/shepherd part of me took precedent over the teacher/equipper in what I wrote yesterday....Keep Reading
Hello Doxa Family! How about that sun! Praise God for his graciousness to us in the form of some much needed sunshine. I pray you've had a fruitful week of loving and serving one another out of what you've been given by our good Father. Unity, Love, and Restoration: Last Sunday, I talked through how we are equipped so that we can serve and equip. (Watch it here.) This w...Keep Reading
