Displaying His Glory as Men and Women
It was a joy to remind all of you of your incredible value and design on Sunday. You all, men and women, single and married, young and old, are made in the image of God. He designed you on purpose for his purpose. We are all made to tell the truth about what God is like and to tell the wonderful story of redemption through Jesus in the way we live and interact together. I hope you were encouraged and blessed by God’s Word spoken over you through me, and hopefully by His Spirit, as he spoke to your hearts. If you missed Sunday's gatering, visit the Sermons Page to view or listen to the message.
Talk it out:
As you consider the amazing truth that you are image bearers both created in the image of God and now re-created through the perfect image of God Jesus Christ, I encourage you to process through some Scripture and questions together.
Consider reading Genesis 1:26-31; 2:5-25 and Ephesians 5:20-33 and walk through these questions:
- What new insights or convictions did you gain from the message on Sunday?
- How can we better honor both men and women as image bearers?
- In what ways can we encourage each other to serve the body with our gifts?
- How can we prayerfully support you and seek to develop you?
I pray that as you consider how God has uniquely and wonderfully designed us (Psalm 139) you will be both encouraged and inspired to better value and honor one another.
Hope you have a great week!
