THE EXPERIENCE.

Internships at Doxa are designed to give a hands-on and up-close experience in vocational ministry. Ranging from 6-12 months, the ultimate purpose is to strengthen your ministry gifts and clarify your missional calling. Throughout the internship you will receive:

-specialized training in different ministry functions
-opportunities for mentorship
-weekly pastor-led devotions
-inclusion to staff parties and team events

We believe our internship uniquely provides a dynamic mix of theological education, spiritual formation, and hands-on experiences that will enable you to grow in how you relate like family, serve like Jesus, and go on mission.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

All interns are expected to be currently walking in the rhythms of Doxa Church (or something comparable in their curent context), namely worshipping regularly on Sundays through presence and giving, serving inside or outside of the local church, and doing life in community.  Interns must be at least 18 years old and be living a life that reflects the character described in 1 Timothy 3:8-13.

Interns will receive training in a variety of areas, which may include:
-administration
-discipleship
-a theological framework for local church
-event planning
-evangelism
-identifying your spiritual gifting

JUMP IN WITH US.

We provide two different types of internships based on staffing needs, funding, and the strategic vision of the elders. All interns receive direct discipleship and access to specific staff training and coaching.

Most internships begin as a "Level One" opportunity. Level One internships require 7-15 hours a week of on-site ministry work, and are unpaid.  These positions are designed to give you a look into what a church does behind the scenes and access to our leadership for your own development.  These typically last six months.

On occasion, based on the greater needs of the church and avaiable funding, Level One interns will be moved to Level Two. Level Two internships require 15-30 hours a week of on-site ministry work and are paid. These positions are reserved for those with ministry (or equivalent professional) experience and carry a higher level of responsibility than Level One positions. These typically last 6-12 months, but can run longer based on needs and budgets. (Additionally, if you know people that would help you raise support for a Level Two internship, let us know.)
