Week Seven: The Unexpected Kingdom
Passage: Mark 4:26-34
Summary: The Kingdom Jesus brings about is not what was expected. It is more like seeds scattered on the ground or a mustard seed that can hardly be seen. It starts small and seems invisible, but will produce a large harvest. And just like the seeds, man does not bring about the harvest. God does. In what ways have we expected the Kingdom to be flashy and impressive and where might God already be building his Kingdom in and through us in ways we have failed to recognize?
In Jesus’ Kingdom, small is big.
