Week Eight: The Unexpected Power
Passage: Mark 4:35-5:20
Summary: Jesus proves to have power over the wind and the sea as well as demons. Mark wants the reader to see that this mustard seed Kingdom has within it the power of Creation over the heavenly realms. This realization about Jesus and his kingdom leads some to fearfully reject him (v. 17) and others to eagerly desire to be with him always (v.18). Where might you need Jesus’ power in your life and are you begging him to leave you alone or come be with you?
Jesus is God’s power for your problem.
