Week 11: The Unexpected Provision
Passage: Mark 6:30-52
Summary: Jesus miraculously feeds the five thousand with five loaves and two fish. He is able to take little and make it much. He didn’t perform this miracle only to feed the crowds. He also intended to feed his disciples faith so that they might believe Jesus for great things. However, they fail to see that they can trust Jesus’ power as they find themselves terrified once again in the storm. Mark juxtaposes their lack of faith with the crowds running to him again for healing and help in Gennesaret. Where are you in need of Jesus’ miraculous provision? Do you believe he is able to help you and provide for you? Will you run to him or forget to trust him?
Jesus is the bread of life who feeds your faith
