Vocational ministry is a challenging but incredibly rewarding job. If you spend time in our offices, you'll hear a lot of laughter and see us collaborating together. Our staff come from a variety of backgrounds and are humble, passionate, and talented. Working at Doxa means:

VIDEO PRODUCER

HOURS: 10-20 (based on skill set and experience)

REPORT TO: Director of Communications

WHY WE HAVE THIS ROLE: We believe video is a powerful tool for capturing stories and communucating the Gospel to a church and world that needs the good news of Jesus.

DESCRIPTION: This person will help shoot, edit, color, and upload video projects for distribution to the entire church. Examples include projects like weekly devotionals, music lyric videos, sermon videos, and storytelling projects capturing God at work in the lives of Doxa.

EXPERIENCE: 2 years in a comparable professional role required

SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

HOURS: 10 (based on skill set and experience)

REPORT TO: Director of Communications

WHY WE HAVE THIS ROLE: If discipleship happens in the everyday stuff of life, then we have great opportunities to inform, motivate, and captivate our church through the places they spend their time, including social media platforms! It's also a great way for outsiders to get a peek into the life of Doxa and what we care about.

DESCRIPTION: This person will create content for, and manage, our social media platforms in line with our communication strategy and schedule. Primary areas of content include team recruitment, event promotion, and storytelling projects capturing God at work in the lives of Doxa members.

EXPERIENCE: 2 years in a comparable professional role required

KIDS MINISTRY INTERN

HOURS: 15/week 

REPORT TO: Kids Ministry Coordinator 

WHY WE HAVE THIS ROLE: At Doxa, we believe every kid matters and is loved by God. This means we want to create an environment where all kids feel welcome, loved, and a part of a bigger family of Doxa. We aim to equip parents and families to disciple kids at church as well as at home.  

DESCRIPTION: to support the Kids Ministry Coordinator at Doxa Church with the administrative tasks of preparing for and executing Sunday Gatherings; to partner with the Doxa Church team in training and equipping kids, parents and servants to be disciples of Jesus Christ through Kids Ministry.   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing curriculum materials – printing, cutting, laminating, craft set up
  • Cleaning, organizing and restocking kids’ area– snack, water, cups, cleaning materials
  • Participating in Kids Ministry on Sundays – helping to oversee the security procedures, bathroom breaks, servant support, kid discipline,kids’check-in, new families, etc. 
  • Setting up kid needs for post gathering events
  • Assist in training and equipping ofkid’sministry servants 
  • Be available to oversee Sunday operations if the Director of Kids Ministry isunavailable
  • Must be able to participate in a weekly Kids Ministry team meeting and Doxa Staff meetings for unity, spiritual development and ministry awareness
